Dr Peter Lewis














Doctor Peter Lewis – Australian martial arts hall of fame inductee
Dr Peter Lewis is the former president of the International Sports Karate Association of Australia and holds a black belt (4th dan) in Karate.
With over 30 years experience teaching martial arts, he has trained with a variety of styles including kung fu, karate, tae kwon do and unarmed combat.

Peter has trained with special-forces in both Australia and Thailand. Dr. Lewis is a sports physician specialising in martial arts injuries. He works out of the Malvern health and fitness centre and has been the ringside physician for approximately 15,000 bouts. He has looked after boxing, kickboxing, karate, and tae kwon do fights.


Dr. Lewis has been involved in officiating at all levels of martial arts including judging refereeing, ringside doctor, trainer and corner-man, ring announcer and rules co-coordinator. He has officiated at some of the most important fights of all time in over 30 cities around the world. 
Peter has trained with world champions and internationally recognised instructors in many countries. Dr. Lewis has extensive experience at treating physical trauma and also as an expert witness in assault cases.


Through his experience of the medical aspects of martial arts training Dr. Lewis has devised a unique perspective on training that focuses on the health benefits of martial arts. He has a special interest in core body stability, skills acquisition, aerobic and anaerobic fitness, flexibility and sparring skills.
Dr Peter Lewis has been inducted into the Australian martial arts hall of fame (AMAHOF). 

This prestigious martial arts body unites and gives recognition to influential martial artists throughout Australasia who develop high ethical and technical abilities within the broader martial arts and associated Industry.



Dr Richard Yang

Dr. Yang graduated with MBBS in 1988 from one of the major teaching hospitals in Shanghai and underwent 3 years of surgical training. He became a Vocational Registered G.P in 2004. Dr. Yang has many years’ of experience with cortisone injections and PRP injections which are used in the treatment of musculoskeletal injury and arthritic pain. Dr Yang is enjoys boxing as is on his way to becoming an accredited ringside physician
